October is the only month that gets its own “fest,” as far as I can tell. And Oktoberfests are so popular that many organizers even jump the gun and hold them in September! You’ll have a keg-full of chances to raise a stein and celebrate German culture and all things beer-related in and around Ottawa in September and October. (Don’t forget to pick a designated driver.)

Beau's Brewing Company is a popular stop in Vankleek Hill.

Don’t forget Cumberland’s Octoberfest 21st. There is always great German food and an oom pah pah band. Check the Cumberland Lions’ page for details.
